January Fishing Report

Christmas is over, but Santa Claus is still giving us great fishing days. It’s now the middle of January and fishing conditions are really great. The water temperature in the heads of the creeks is between 45 and 46°. At the mouths of the creeks it is still 50° to 51°. Fishing live bait about halfway in the creeks 35 to 50 feet deep anywhere from 50 foot of water to 100 foot of water and you will do good. A few of the guides are still down rigging at this time, and umbrella fishing for some reason appears to be slow. Shad is very easy to get under the lights If you have a net that will go 40 feet deep.
